Huawei to Invest US$50 Mln in Turkey R&D Center

China's Huawei has set up an R&D center in Istanbul, Turkey's Hurriyet Daily News reported. Huawei's new R&D facility is located in Istanbul's Umraniye district and the company held an opening ceremony on February 27. Currently operating with about 500 employees in Turkey, Huawei plans to hire 500 more over the next three years. Huawiei's total investment in this R&D center is estimated to top US$50 million. It is reported that Huawei has 15 R&D centers and 20 innovation centers worldwide at present.
